What is Electrolysis and what hairs can be treated?
Electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal method approved by the FDA. It’s ideal for ALL hair types & colors including; gray and red. The process of Electrolysis provides permanent results with a series of treatments booked specifically around your personal hair growth cycles. There are many factors that play a role in your hair growth cycles and how many treatments each person will need depending on the desired area to be worked on. Some key factors that determine hair growth cycles are based off of location of hair, hormones, genetics, medications, stress, and previous hair removal methods that stimulated more hair growth.

The Body Boutique uses disposable probes & sterilize all instruments used during each treatment. How does Electrolysis work?
Each unwanted hair will be treated and removed during each of your visits. Your Electrologist will be inserting a small needle (the size of your hair) into each hair follicle while delivering a small amount of current to stop further nutrients and blood supply from feeding the hairs to continue to grow. After a series of treatments the hairs will be destroyed and will no longer be able to grow. To start, treatments will be more frequent ranging from visits once a week to every other week. As hair growth slows, so will the frequency and time duration of treatments.
Sterilization and Sanitation:
The Body Boutique follows all FDA and CDC standards for sterilization and sanitation for all offered procedures.
We also use sterile, disposable needles during each treatment and sterilize medical grade forceps in a dry heat sterilizer

Different Methods of Electrolysis:
Thermolysis/High Frequency- a method that produces heat which causes destruction to the hair follicles.
Galvanic Method- a method that produces a chemical reaction using the moisture inside the hair follicles instead of heat which also causes destruction to the hair follicle.
Blend Method- a method that simultaneous uses both high frequency and galvanic currents together which causes
destruction to tougher, more hormonal hair follicles.
